When the Nintendo 3DS XL came out, I traded in my regular sized Nintendo 3DS for one — but I ended up hating it. The XL just felt big and unwieldy, and because the screens were larger (with the same resolution), it ended up looking blurrier than the regular 3DS. This, to a less severe extent, is the argument for the Galaxy S9 against the Note 8.The main difference between these arguments is that the 3DS XL was essentially a copy of the 3DS, only larger. Alternatively, the Galaxy Note 8 and the Galaxy S9 are not copies of one another — however, they are quite similar. Why the Note 8 Is Still GreatUnlike a comparison against the Galaxy S9 involving phones like the S7 Edge or S8, the Note 8 actually does some things better than the S9. For one, its 3,300 mAh battery is larger than the S9's 3,000 mAh — but it does have to power a larger screen, so the difference isn't massive. It also has 6 GB of RAM to the S9's 4, which probably shouldn't concern the average user, but it certainly can't hurt. Step 3: Wirelessly Transfer FilesThe next time you want to transfer a file from your computer to your phone, just make sure both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, then open the Pocketshare app on Android, and the server will start automatically. (Note that you will have to allow Pocketshare access to photos, media, and files on your device.)From here, select your computer's name under Devices in Finder's sidebar if you're using an Apple machine, or if you're using a PC, head to "My Computer" in Windows Explorer. At this point, you should see a folder or network drive labeled "Pocketshare," so double-click this to open it. (Note that on a Mac, depending on your Finder preferences, you may see Pocketshare right in the Finder's sidebar.) From here, you can simply drag and drop any file into this network folder, and it will transfer over to your phone automatically. How To: Access Your Photo Library in Messages for iOS 12 to Send Already Taken Pics & Vids

Ever since 2009, you could send a photo or video that you've already taken right from the Messages app on your iPhone. You would just tap on the camera icon next to the new message box, then choose either to take a new one or select one from your library. If you're running iOS 12, that's no longer the case, but that doesn't mean the capability is gone entirely.When you tap on the camera icon in the Messages app in iOS 12, it launches right into the camera so you can take a new picture or video. This allows you to take advantage of Apple's new camera effects, which includes cool filters, text effects, shapes, and sticker packs, among other things. However, one thing it does not include is a way to access your photo library.Don't Miss: 20+ Annoying Things iOS 12 Got Wrong or Failed to Address Now, in order to access your photo library without having to do so directly from the Photos app, you have to look to the App Drawer in Messages. Introduced in iOS 11, the App Drawer contains all the iMessage apps and stickers you have on your iPhone. And, as you could probably guess by now, there's a new "Photos" app in that App Drawer in iOS 12. This is where your photo library is now. Photos in the App Drawer is simple to access. If you don't see the drawer upon opening a chat, tap the App Store icon next to the camera button. Once the App Drawer is launched, tap the Photos button, which should be the first option given (at least, right now it is). Note that images and videos imported into chats this way will not be able to use iOS 12's new camera effects.Photos presents your images and videos in reverse-chronological order, split up into rows of two. You can browse through your feed by swiping left on these rows. As you tap photos and videos you want to send, iOS will load them one by one in your chat box. You can quickly remove any by tapping the (X) above the photo or video or by tapping the blue checkmark on it in your "Recent Photos" feed.You can also swipe up from the gray bar to reveal some suggestions Siri thinks you might want to send to the recipient/s in your chat. If you know you need to send two or more photos from deep in your Photos Library, you're better off sending those from your Photos app itself, rather than Messages. While the App Drawer is the way of the future for sending photos and videos in Messages, the future doesn't have to be now. The firmware that comes preinstalled on Nexus devices is just Android—no manufacturer skins or carrier bloat involved. This simplicity opens up the door for many root mods and flashable ZIPs that can be installed in a custom recovery.Such mods, however, often require a reboot or a complicated button combination to enter recovery mode. Sadly, as bare-bones as it is, stock Android does not include a "Reboot" or "Reboot to Recovery" option.We've covered options for enabling a "Reboot" dialog on stock Android in the past, but none of these are compatible with Lollipop. Fortunately, though, there's already an app that will bring a full reboot menu back to your rooted Android 5.0 device—and it's about as easy-to-use as it gets. Step 1: Install Quick RebootThe app that brings a full-fledged reboot menu back to Android 5.0 is called Quick Reboot (Root) from developer PhongIT. Install it and head to the next step for its configuration options.

If you'd like to add more options or remove any existing entries, long-press the gear icon, then select "Settings." Step 3: Use Quick RebootThe first time you use Quick Reboot, the app will ask for Superuser access. Tap "Grant" on the popup, then your device will immediately reboot. McDonald's makes its food even faster by partnering with UberEats to bring orders to your doorstep in over 1,000 locations around the country.So watch out Los Angeles, Chicago, Columbus, and Phoenix, because now you have the option to never get up from your couch or desk again. All you have to do is open up your UberEats app and order to your arteries' content.Irina Gonzalez, Freelance Food Editor at Brit + CO, voiced her disappointment about the new partnership in a statement to Gadget Hacks:To be honest, I'm fairly disappointed that UberEats is partnering with McDonald's. The company [Uber] still has a lot of bad press with millennials for what happened during Trump's initial Muslim Ban, and I don't think that partnering with a company that provides fast food is going to help them. Millennials are much more into healthy food than any generations past, and we care about sourcing our ingredients. I really wish they would have partnered with healthier alternatives, like Chipotle or another fast casual franchise. Giving Americans an even easier way to access fast food, which is partially to blame for the obesity epidemic, is not a great choice for this company.Irina has a valid point. Fast food is known to increase your risk of having a heart attack. Getting a Big Mac delivered straight to you is well, probably the opposite of promoting good health.Gadget Hacks reached out to UberEats and McDonald's to see if either company was at all concerned about making fast food more accessible. I see you.McDelivery even plans to expand beyond the four cities within the coming months. The service is already available in Miami, Orlando, and Tampa Bay. Who knows which doorstep a crumbly bag of fast food might show up at next.McDonald's Easterbrook maintains that the expanding delivery service with UberEats is "an ideal partnership." Neither company directly commented on whether or not this "ideal partnership" would be ideal for your health.Both UberEats and McDonald's noted that the fast food chain is one of the largest providers of delivered food in the world:Last year, McDonald's saw nearly $1 billion in delivery sales across both company and franchise restaurants.
