Make sure your computer and iPod are both connected under the same Wi-Fi. Now, click "update" and when Authentication failed comes up click 'Reconnect". Method 1: Use a USB OTG CableA USB On-The-Go cable, or USB OTG for short, is essentially an adapter that allows you to plug a full-sized USB cable into a Micro USB port. These can be purchased for less than $5 from many electronics retailers, including Amazon. This, of course, means that whatever you're watching on your screen will be obstructed temporarily whenever you adjust the volume.Apple never fixed this issue in iOS 8, so it's still a huge annoyance.We've previously shown a few fixes for this nuisance, like the workaround of using Safari to watch YouTube videos or the jailbreak tweak that moved the HUD to the status bar instead. While the workaround for YouTube videos still works, it's inconvenient, and that jailbreak tweak is a little buggy in iOS 8.However, there is another jailbreak tweak that's been updated to work in iOS 8, and instead of moving the HUD to the status bar, it completely removes it. Step 1: Jailbreak iOS 8If you haven't already done so, make sure to jailbreak your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch. Step 3: Adjust Opacity (Or, Remove Completely)In your device's Settings app, tap on the TransparentVolume8 preferences towards the bottom of the page. Using the "Opacity Value" slider, adjust your volume HUD's look. Placing the value to zero will make your HUD completely invisible (i.e. transparent), but if you want to still see it a little bit, just make sure it has a low opacity level. From now on you can enjoy games or videos without having the volume HUD obstructing your view. It may be difficult to see, but take a look at my adjusted volume HUD in the screenshot below, which has a very low opacity. Volume HUD with a low opacity. Hopefully, one day, Apple will realize how crappy their frosty, translucent volume indicator actually is and give us some options or change it altogether. As technology continues to advance, we as consumers are privileged enough to be able to take higher quality photos and videos and listen to clearer and better-sounding music on our mobile devices. But sometimes we forget that there's a price to pay for that awesome content—enormous file sizes.Sharing these files can take hours, and sometimes it might not even be possible; just try sending anything over 25 MB with Gmail. Sure, you can use any of the popular cloud applications out there, but what if you could share a file even quicker than that? That's where ShareON comes in—by allowing users to send huge files to one another in just a matter of seconds.Unlike a cloud service, you don't have to upload or download files to a server first. Instead, ShareON creates a direct connection between devices, allowing the other person to choose to either stream or download the content. And it's available for Android, iOS, Windows, and Mac OS X. Sending the 692 MB file was almost instantaneous, so I tried sending even more files and I'm glad to report that almost 10 GB of files took just a few seconds.

Receiving Files on ShareONView received media (as well as sent) from the mailbox icon at the bottom, all the way to the left. Sent files will only last for 7 days, so make sure to download them if you want to hold on to them. If not, you can also just view them, using the play icon at the bottom left. When watching a video, you can change its aspect ratio, as well as enable subtitles, and of course, rewind, pause, play, and fast-forward the video you're watching. From the icon at the top right, you can also stream what you're watching to any DLNA supported device (smart TVs, speakers, etc). Below you can also see screenshots for viewing pictures (left) and playing music (right) that's been shared with you.

Viewing Files Stored on Other DevicesIn addition to Android and iOS applications, you can also download ShareON for both Windows and Mac OS X. If you have ShareON on multiple devices, you can use the media icon at the top right to browse through them. You can set a folder as a directory in which you can store all of the movies, videos, photos, and music you want to have easy access to from your mobile devices.
