Rather than trying to check your phone discreetly, wouldn't it be better if you could just see your calls and messages on your computer?An Android app called MightyText lets you sync all your text messages with your web browser so you can read and respond to them. It works on both Mac and PC with all the major browsers, plus most tablets. All you have to do is install the app on your smartphone, then the extension for whichever browser you're using. It also shows you the current battery life left on your phone and works even if you don't have it nearby—as long as it's turned on with data enabled.
